The Risk Management and Compliance Specialist will work with the other members of the Risk Management and Compliance team and will be responsible for performing various administrative and other duties for carriers, customers, and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Carry out onboarding process for new carriers which includes review of data from various platforms ensuring that carriers meet DeSpir requirements
- Manage carriers with failed requirements in our onboarding platform by requesting documentation and performing overrides when those criteria are met
- Request and review carrier insurance certificates and cargo exclusions for new carriers and for insurance renewals
- Perform daily audits of driver TSA status in the TMS system
- Send out and monitor training courses in LMS
- Update DeSpir approved driver information as required
- Prepare/Review Route Risk Assessments as needed
- Monitor DeSpir customs bond use in ACE
- Utilize and update filling system of records and electronic documents pertaining to Risk Management and Compliance related items as required
- Assist with compiling information for insurance claims as needed
- Compile reports on various items pertaining to Risk Management and Compliance functions
- Remain current on all applicable regulations and platforms utilized by the department
- Help conduct annual audits on Qualified Carriers to ensure the protocols and processes are being maintained – as needed
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Two or more years' Logistics experience preferred
- Must have attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Must possess clear written and verbal communication skills
- Perform work in a timely manner
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven

Hourly pay range: $28.85 - $35.00, based on experience.
